First of all…. WOW! What an HONOR to photograph Yale & Tina’s wedding day!! They’re a super chill, funny, caring, fashionable, trendy, cat-loving, beautiful inside-and-out couple and I just feel like a won the lottery getting to be their photographer. So, Yale and Tina, THANK YOU!
Let’s just talk for a sec about Tina’s style. Her favorite color is purple, and she designed their whole wedding day to utilize her favorite color in a trendy and tasteful way. Mauve, pink, and gold tones were incorporated throughout and I’m just obsessed with this color palette. Would you ever guess that they got married and had their reception at her parents’ church (an older building)? She, and her super helpful team of friends and family, transformed the space to make it almost unrecognizable!
Not only that, but she hand-made (with the trusty Cricut) cards for Yale, their moms, and her bridesmaids. She also hand-made the picture of her with her parents, and monogrammed her ring box. I’m blown away by this girl’s creativity!! What a dream for a photographer to get to photograph all of these beautiful details!
Yale & Tina’s friends were SO MUCH FUN! We were rolling during their wedding party portraits! There may have been a little too much candy consumed that morning.
One of my (man) favorite details about their day was the Hanboks! This was my first time getting to photographing a couple wearing them, and I love that they honored their culture in that way. And how gorgeous are their mamas in their Hanboks!
Man oh man this day was one I will never forget and I wish we could live it all over again! Although, after planning a wedding from another state, I’m sure Yale and Tina are glad to move on with married life! (and their 4 cats are glad to have them back home)
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Kim!
