Matt & Johannah | A Rustic Chic Country Club Wedding

From the golf course to the alter, Matt and Johannah are the epitome of the perfect couple. Their shared love for sports and Labrador Retrievers creates a unique bond that is refreshing to be in the presence of. Matt works as a university Athletic Director, Johannah teaches English to junior high students, and together they are a bundle of encouragement. Johannah’s smile lights up every room she enters, and Matt’s caring eyes make you feel like you have found your long-lost brother.

Matt and Johannah wanted their wedding to be a celebration of who they are as individuals, and as a couple, but also honor their family heritage. The Hot Springs Country Club was the perfect combination of elegance and class, reflected their love for golf, and provided a dreamy and intimate setting for their marriage vows. The couple went above and beyond to honor their families from Johannah’s Grandmother’s necklace around her neck, to her mother’s wedding dress on display at the reception, to the family photos displayed as centerpieces. Touches of burlap, pearls and silver dishes tied the rustic chic theme together seamlessly, and Johannah’s love for English and education interpreted through the copies of favorite books placed strategically throughout the room. To ensure that every guest felt welcome and to send home a little piece of themselves, they provided personalized golf tees and bath soaps as favors.

From the moment that Johannah walked though the door of the Country Club’s locker room, the day was filled with exuberant joy and love. The couple was intentional to make every person feel welcome and to show their gratitude for participating in their wedding day. We can say with utmost confidence that Matt & Johannah’s wedding day was perfection.
