It all started with a mother’s plea! Kyle’s mom begged his friend Madison (somewhat joking, mostly serious) to find him a girl, and here we are- reading their wedding blog post! There’s a good reason that Madison’s first thought was her friend Erin. Once Erin and Kyle met, the sparks flew. Even though they lived hours apart, it didn’t take many long phone calls to convince them that this was the real deal. Kyle began planning the proposal as he also made plans to move to Little Rock to be near Erin. (see the proposal here!)
There is something uniquely special about the way Kyle and Erin love each other. They have put God in the center of their relationship from day one, and it is obvious that they strive to love with a Christ-like love. I don’t think I have ever heard a bride compliment her groom as much on their wedding day as Erin did for Kyle! And Kyle- I watched him closely during the day as he watched his bride. During moments when most grooms would be distracted by all of the pomp and circumstance and the guests vying for his attention, Kyle’s eyes were on Erin, and Erin alone. They were extremely intentional to be present for each other, and I have no doubt that they’ll carry that into their marriage!
A few of my favorite moments of their day were the daddy + daughter first look, Erin’s Granddaddy’s reaction to her walking down the aisle, the flower girl with ALL the personality, sunset portraits with the antique car, and the two private last dances!! And I can’t NOT mention getting to stare at those gorgeous flowers all day!!
Erin & Kyle, I love you two dearly, and I’m SO grateful I got to be your wedding photographer! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Smith!!
