TGIF!! Okay, so we’re kinda sad. We’re sad because it has been NINE months since we took the trip of a lifetime to Italy. We spent two weeks touring as much of the country as we could humanly (although we felt like aliens) possible. After we got back, we blogged a different part of our trip every day for a week. Here lately we’ve spent a lot of time reminiscing and sharing our favorite memories with each other, so we thought we’d share some of them with you, too 🙂 Since we’ve already shared the photos from our cameras, here are a few of our cell phone photos! They’re terrible quality and you won’t see any pretty bokeh (fancy word for the “blurry background we photographers love), but they are super special to us! These are memories that we never ever want to fade, and hope you enjoy a little peek into our Italian adventure!
Tired eyes and greasy hair, but SO happy that the overseas flight was over!
The Frankfurt Airport is much cooler than Little Rock.
Germans love their bread!
When we got off the bus in Venice, it didn’t quite look like what we expected…
But then this happened 🙂 This was the view from our hotel room!
We had to wait out turn to step up to the railing on the Rialto Bridge, and it was oh so worth it. Venice at night is unbelievable.
St. Mark’s Square!
Our first morning in Venice, we sat in St. Mark’s Square, drank coffee, and watched an orchestra play. It still doesn’t seem real.
We went to a concert at Vivaldi’s church on our second night. Please excuse the terrible jet-lag faces!
Dreamy <3
Those Italians like their coffee STRONG!
Milano Centrale (The central train station in Milan)
Our good friend Fabrizio took us to see the Duomo at night! It as unreal. It was also the first night of fashion week, so what you don’t see is thousands of people surrounding us!
Mapping our way to the city.
The Coliseum!
Why do we always look so tired??! 😀
St. Peter’s Basilica was hard to wrap our minds around.
What a beauty.
Proof we were there!
Rome is so beautiful!
This is the spot at the edge of the rocks in Sorrento where we took the coolest selfie EVER! That’s Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. No sunset will ever top this experience.
