This is an EXCITING post!! I’ve been asked for years about taking newborn photos, and while I have done some in the families’ homes, I have never been interested in doing studio-style newborn portraits. Well, when I found out about the brand new Union Space Studio in Little Rock, which is a natural light space with white walls and light wood floors, I knew it was time!
Since becoming a mom in 2017, my love for photographing mamas with their new babies has exploded! My driving force behind photography is making people happy. And I know personally that nothing makes a mama happier than beautiful photos of her babies! But with my style of photography, I just couldn’t get into the super posed newborn portraits done in a studio with artificial lights (although I do think they’re beautiful!) Now I have a way to provide those beautiful portraits of babies and their families in a space that’s true to my aesthetic!
Meet baby Ella Grace Adams! The Adams family has quickly become so dear to me as I was able to photograph Maggie’s maternity session, then their whole family in the studio, and then again in an In-Home Lifestyle Session. She was a perfect angel for her newborn pictures. And just look at that sweet strawberry blonde hair! Big sister Faith was unsure at first about holding Ella, but we were patient and encouraging, and she did it! Following mom Maggie on social media, I get to see Faith really stepping into that big sis role!
I truly believe that there has been a need for this style of newborn photography in Little Rock. This gives families a comfortable space to relax and make sweet memories with their kids, while creating timeless portraits to decorate their homes with.
